I’ll sum this law up, according to my understanding — A woman wants to get an abortion in Texas and is forced to have a sonogram before she is able to. The point being that if a pregnant woman sees a sonogram or hears the heartbeat of her fetus, she will be less likely to get the abortion. The law does not require the woman to see the sonogram or hear the heartbeat, however.
Also, this Texas law is going to be enforced while the law is still being challenged in court.
My opinion? This is medical rape. Texas is forcing the “consent” of medical equipment being inserted into the vagina of pregnant women. Forced consent isn’t consent. Only in Texas would rape be legal.
